Achieving safe hot water temperatures in New Zealand homes: Practical issues- Options for families- Update, May 2000
The overall objective of this report was to inform the injury prevention workforce about environmental strategies for ensuring that hot water can be delivered safely to homes in a sustainable manner.
Options outlined in this document can effectively lower hot tap water temperatures, which will contribute to a marked reduction in scalds to children. Barriers to lowering home hot water temperatures are also discussed.
