Information & Research
Safekids Aotearoa Information Service
An integral part of Safekids Aotearoa’s strategy for child injury prevention is to provide a solid base of information about unintentional child injury and how it can be prevented.
Safekids aims to promote and assist child injury prevention work throughout New Zealand. It does this by facilitating access to:
- NZ and overseas research about any area of unintentional child injury prevention.
- Resources on best practice injury prevention interventions.
- Support material for education, training sessions and campaigns.
- Child injury trends and emerging issues.
Safekids maintains an online catalogue of hard copy and digital information and has access to other e-journals and databases.

The catalogue was set up in the early 1990s. Some of the information in it is archival in nature, and may have been superseded by more recent content. If you are not sure, please contact us.
