An evaluation of the walking bus at Pirehill First School: A report commissioned by The Staffordshire Walking Bus Partnership - February 2000

The Centre for Alternative and Sustainable Transport, based at Staffordshire University, was commissioned to evaluate a 'walking bus' scheme which had been implemented in a local school and to produce this report, with particular reference to changes in modal choices, traffic impacts and the implementation process. The evaluation integrated both quantitative and qualitative approaches for this study. Some major recommendations are given in the conclusion.
