Validity of self reported data on injury prevention behavior: lessons from observational and self reported surveys of safety belt use in the US.
The objective of this study was to examine the validity of self reported data on safety belt use and to consider the implications for reesearch on injury prevention behaviours. A comparison was made between self reported use via a telephone survey and actual observed rates of use.
