An instrumented quad bike pilot study. Report for ACC Research, Accident Compensation Corporation, NZ.

Despite the rollover risk of quad bikes, there is a paucity of real-world data examining how quad bikes are ridden. This study was commissioned by ACC Research in partnership with Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) and Landcorp Farming Ltd (Landcorp) in order to develop an objective, real-world measurement tool to examine the exposure risks of quad bike use in New Zealand. It examines the actual characteristics of quad bike use on farms within the lower North Island by instrumenting quad bikes and examining driver behaviour over time.
