UNICEF report: Highlights unintentional childhood injury

Safekids has welcomed the launch of the UNICEF New Zealand report: “Making New Zealand Fit for Children; Promoting a National Plan of Action for New Zealand (Healthy Lives Section)” (see rec # 7050) , which recommends actions for reducing our high unintentional injury statistics. Safekids’ director Ann Weaver said the report not only highlights the issue of unintentional injury, but also makes clear recommendations about the steps the government can take to reduce this major child health issue.
