Analysis of drownings involving children aged five years and under in NSW

The aims of this study were: -to describe the characteristics of unintentional drowning involving children aged five years and under -to identify factors associated with and causes of unintentional drownings in swimming pools, baths and other natural bodies of water -to look for common factors across cases that could provide direction for action to prevent similar incidents occurring in the future. Results are presented and some recommendations are made.
